The Mango Tree is 1 block from Ipanema Beach, and 80 metres from Posto 9 Lifeguard Tower. If you make your way to the corner of Prudente de Moraes and Vinicius de Moraes you will find the world famous Garota de Ipanema restaurant (Girl From Ipanema) where the song was written. From here walk 30 metres along Prudente de Moraes towards Copocabana and you will find us on your left.

To get here:

From the Rodoviaria Novo Rio take the "Real" bus ( R$6 ) to the Posto 9 lifeguard tower, or take a taxi ( R$25-R$30)

From the International Airport Tom Jobim take the Airport bus to Ipanema Beach and get off at Posto 9. Walk down Rua Vinicius de Morais and turn right at Rua Prudente de Moraes, the hostel is 30m on the left hand side. OR take an airport taxi (around R$70).
